job control

Hello,

I am using a 1040ST/TOS1.4/4Meg and recently  went from MiNT v0.96 PL14 
to MiNT v0.98PL1 and job control  breaks on all my old programs. I did 
recompile  bash  with the LIBS @PL25. Now when I hit ^Z under emacs, gcc, 
ls, etc...  I either lock the machine with a horizonal line of pixels 
appearing across the monitor, or I get a message from MiNT:

 "system stack not in proc structure" system halted (reboot).

Any ideas?
