On my system (gcc 2.3.1, MiNT libs PL26) the kernel compiled with -DMULTITOS
works fine (I only tried it with INIT=gem.sys).

I have diffs for PureC. Eric: will the current source release stay for 
a while? In this case, I'd like to upload my diffs.
