Thanks for the bug report. The problem was that both Fcntl() and rsconf()
were trying to do the Bconmapping, and rsconf() was resetting what Fcntl
had done. I'll have a kludgy work-around in 1.06.

Re-writing the code to access the hardware directly is obviously the
"correct" solution. It's also too time-consuming to contemplate right
now. :-(.
