I fixed my ST, another DRAM had bit the dust.  The symptoms were
different than the two previous times this happened, instead of just
randomly losing data it switched off that whole 2M bank.  I guess this
chip was just more fried than in the previous cases so the logic on
the ZRAM board recognized the problem and refused to attempt to use
the chip.

I guess you're all stuck with me for now :-) ... A big "Thanks anyway"
to jrb for offering me his old JRI simm board for free...the Internet
is a wonderful place.
