GDB 3.6 PL3 and GnuRCS5

Has anyone gotten the source for GDB 3,6 PL3 compiled up so that it works okay?
I built it okay, but when running it loads the executable and symbol files then
goes into:

You get the idea, it looks like it does not wait for input? 


Also has anyone built the newest version of RCS from prep.ai? I have started 
to work on it a bit, but I can't seem to track down a but in the access modes 
for files. This is where GDB would be very usefull for me?
