As of version 1.12, though, MiNT is completely free, both source and binary;
and all future versions of MiNT (and its derivatives) must remain so.
The difference between MiNT 1.12 and "FreeMiNT" is in features, not in
freeness or lack thereof. That's why I prefer the name "NetMiNT" for the
latter (it reflects the fact that the development is taking place on the
network, by a large group of people, rather than being centralized at
Atari).
