I just finished my port of the beta Angband 2.7.9 code this morning
using Dancer's ncurses port... seems to work very well!  In fact, this
is the first port of Angband that I've built since 2.5.x that can
actually load its own save files.  :-)

Check out http://www.qnx.com/~chrish/Atari/MiNT/ if you're interested. 
It's quite slow on my ST, but it seems to work OK, as does the ncurses.
