Parallel port ?

OK, Here's the deal. Is there a parallel port driver for MiNT that will
allow me to use the parallel port as a fast TTY device? I know its possible
since PLIP works (or I assume it does). I've decides to upgrade my
Zyxel to the new 28.8 Elite model. It handles serial speeds over 400Kbps,
but the Atari won't do mor ethan 19.2Kbs (or mine don't). The modem has
a parallel port on it though, so I want to use it with my modem.

Actually, I want to eventually get my AT&T system running so that the AT&T
system and the MiNT/STe are connected via PLIP (is a PLIP cable different
from a LAP-LINK cable?) and the modem is on the second parallel port of
the AT&T computer (since the serial ports are 19.2K and no hardware
flow control on them).

Now, how do I set up MiNT-NET so that the two can talk TCP/IP with the AT&T
system acting as a terminal server kinda for the MiNT machine. I want to
be able to run TCP-IP clients on either machine - routing the internet
traffic through the AT&T box and out the Zyxel to my Internet carrier. My
Internet IP address is assigned dynamically.

How do I set things up so that I always have an IP address for each machine,
connected via Internet or not, and I want both machines to share that IP
address when talking to the outside world. I guess it would be kinda
like a Gateway or something, right? I don't even know if I can do PLIP
on the AT&T system though.

Any idea? Comments? I want NFS so either computer can access the drives
of the other, LPR/LPD with all printers connected to and spooling from
the AT&T box, Telnet to either machine from the other, FTP to either machine
from the other, email readable from either machine (if possible), and a
pathway to the Internet available from either machine (does not have to
be available to both machines at once).

CYA,
Evan
