Well, my ST is still the only computer in my house... kinda sad that the
game console beside the TV (Jaguar) has so much more power than my
computer. Pity it doesn't have a keyboard...
I refuse to waste my time with PC hardware, even though I could probably
put together a sensible system ('486dx2/66 or more, 16M RAM, local-bus
video, local-bus SCSI) using parts laying around at my office... it's
just too nasty.
I do plan to replace my ancient ST with a BeBox, just as soon as I get
accepted as a developer.

- minicom (term program)
- GNU EMACS (editing code, editing text, editing HTML)
- Python, C, C++ programming
- porting :-) stuff; usually if I port something, it's because I
want to _use_ it
- lynx, ncftp, telent for networking
- CAB web browser, using Dancer's interface to MiNT-net; this is WAY
more stable under MultiTOS with MiNT-net than it is under TOS with
STiK
- W windowing system; this doesn't exactly have loads of applications,
but it's very easy to develop for
Once I get my BeBox, I'd like to develop a TCP/IP driver using the MIDI
ports; then I can use MiNT-net and NFS to transfer stuff back and forth
easily... I don't really want to fill up the case with the huge
(full-height 5.25"!) gig disk I'm using with my ST.
