Open Sound System

I was wondering if any of the MiNT and Midi programming pros could
convert the Open Sound System/Free(OSS) over to the MiNTOS.  This would
open up a world of audio/midi software to the MiNTOS community.  The
cookie for the audio system can be used to tell the system which sound
driver libraries to load to support the hardware.  Theorically, it can
also support special hardware such as STarTrack (DSP for VME), Falcon
DSP, and Soundblaster support on PC's running MiNTOS via PacifiST and
Hades via Eric Hall's ISA Plug and Play and SoundBlaster TOS driver.
Programmers may wish to utilize Component Manager (a dynamic
linker loader / shared module system for MiNT) by James Cox. You can
