I don't have any such problems with N.AES/MiNT.

Very, very unlikely. These things are handled by the AES exclusively
(atleast they *should* be), the MiNT kernel has nothing to do with it.
I'm 99% sure that this is a bug in AES 4.1 (it's still a beta you
know...), perhaps triggered by some dubious code in NEWSie.
I have heard about event's "falling through" before, but I have never
experienced this with N.AES or MagiC.
