NeXT and the Falcon

This may be a stupid question, but here it goes...


Being that the NeXT and the Falcon are similar hardware wise (i.e. 68030,
56001, 68882, SCSI, LocalTalk, etc.)  Is it hard to convert source for a NeXT
program over to the Falcon, perhaps as a MiNT aware GEM program with shell
support?  There seem to be lots of code out there for NeXT computers that seem
would be good if they could be converted to the Falcon.  Perhaps a program
that scans the code and replaces with NeXT specific stuff with the equivalent
enhanced GEM and MiNT libraries.  Then the modified code can be edited and
then compiled.  Is this proposal more complex than I imagine it to be?
