This doesn't make any sense, can you give us some more details on your
setup? Single-GEM would probably cause such problems, but I've never
heard that N.AES does it.

It might be some other application, acc or CPX that interferes. E.g.
serial.cpx, modem.cpx, a dirty screensaver...
