Wouldn't it be reasonable to steal the entire memory management
stuff for MiNT from Linux m68k and modify only the compatibility
stuff (fast ram, etc.)? I think the Linux world has more
of these guys that don't get frightened by the section entitled
"Memory management unit".
If somebody could emulate the Linux memory interface for MiNT
I think this would be the easiest way to support the new
archictectures with 68040 resp. 68060 cpu. Otherwise we would
have to wait for somebody that both owns one of these new
machines /and/ has the guts to implement and test it.
Just an idea.
