It was an interesting piece of hardware, mostly because the CPU was on
a separate card, and that it had 6 (or 8) slots for CPUs...

Because MiNT use bios, xbios and gemdos (although 1.15.x replaces 99%
of GEMDOS now), and all extensions to these must be present before
MiNT runs.
But what's the big deal in running MiNT first? I think it works very
well the way it works now, and don't see any point in changing it. Are
there any good reasons for doing this?
