I have downgraded to GCC 2.7.2.3 and the compiled vconsoles work OK. So
I probably encountered a bug in GCC 2.8.1, unfortunately. I don't like
comparing assembler outputs but it will probably be the only chance to
find the bug. Don't you know if there is a new version of GCC or some
patches that could fix this problem?
