Well, in the case of an already present MMU setup, one could use the same method found in mprot040.c, i.e. create a copy of the existing MMU tree instead of generating it from scratch. Of course, this requieres the current MMU setup to be static (so Outside/VRAM won't work, but ROMSpeed would). Also, creating a copy of the current MMU layout on the MC68030 is a lot more difficult than on the 040/060, and won't work if the pagesize in use is > 8k (the 68030 allows up to 32k, IIRC).
