Ouch... ;-(
Then again, the Microsoft thing has become some necessary evil, as
far as major corporations and institutions are concerned.
Typical example:
the Lappeenranta School Board voted on a budget to equip all remaining
schools for Internet access and to standardize the environments. They
hired a consultant to evaluate the situation, recommend solutions and
estimate costs. Solution: Windows NT workstations, using centralized
fileservers for all the schools to be located in the City's IT Center.
Interrestingly enough, those consultants advertise themselves as UNIX
specialists trained by SUN and XEROX...
