With an actual kernel it will be clean.

I doesn't noticed any filesystem error in the last weeks on my ext2 
partitions. I have only one main Minix partition left on my system.

The first versions of the ext2 had some bugs that result in not freed 
files (not referenced inodes and blocks) and some other minor things. But 
these bugs are fixed now.

There are some problems related to applications that doesn't fully 
support long filenames. In the MinixFS are lot of workarounds and 
fallback mechanism for this. But I doesn't like such stuff.
