*sigh* Jo, please read again.

If I revert to MINTLIB 46, everything _always_ compiles fine,
but newer libs don't always work. With any GCC/linker (of
course, GCC 2.8.1 is buggier than older ones, but it still
works better with PL-46 than anything new).

If Juhani reverts to _older_ GEMLIB versions, CAB.OVL compiles
well, but not using new versions:

Needs quite early version of Gemlib ... PL34 IIRC.

Cab.ovl is incompatible with latest GemLib. It doesn´t require lot of
changes (two IIRC) in one file. Can´t give more spesific answer now,
since I don´t have source available now ...

The keyword is _previous_. Previous versions of the MINT/GEM libs
produce good, small, usable binaries. Current ones broke some
things along the line.
