[MiNT] Problems with recent MiNT beta versions

I fear that I am becoming boring with all my recent emails, however these
issues have all arisen at much the same time and I thought it better to
split them into seperate emails each pertaining to one subject.

While I find the recent MiNT beta versions since 1.15.0 are much faster
and have other benefits, there seems to be a problem which occurs with
all beta versions since 1.15.0.

On my TT, I get occasional crashes of certain programs. With memory
protection enabled I get "MEMORY VIOLATION" and without memory protection,
I get bus error or address errors.

The two programs which seem to be affected are uux and httpd. uux is as
supplied with KGMD, and I can't remember the name of the person who
provided Apache httpd but it was discussed a few weeks ago on this list
(incidentally the problem I had with httpd only handling one connection
at a time seems to have resolved itself).

I only use uux for executing rmail on a remote computer to transfer email,
and as such it is always executed by smail. The crash happens about 10% of
times that uux is invoked, other times it works entirely as it should do.
The same ratio also applies roughly to httpd.

Somebody suggested that I needed to increase the stack size of the
binaries that crash, but that made no difference.

I have also been getting occasional situations (every day or two) when the
machine entirely freezes, but as I explain in my other email, I think that
is related to having memory protection enabled.

Under 1.15.0, however, none of these problems occur.

Apart from this the new versions of MiNT seem to work fine.

Does anybody have any ideas, anything I can do to track down the problem,
or any other comments?
