[MiNT] ext2fs one problem solved, now another one

Hi everyone,

Well I found out that the problem with GEM programs not loading from an
ext2fs is solved in N.AES 1.2.0 (I was using 1.1.0) so that is that one
out of the way.

However I have been noticing a problem which is somewhat more serious,
since it is unpredictable and causes data loss.

After the machine has been running for a few hours the ext2 partition
becomes inaccessible, and a whole lot of messages appear like:

d_get_dir: no free _DIR found for <directory>

where <directory> is the name of some directory like var, tmp, news or
what ever.

What ever file was being written at the time is lost, and the entire
partition becomes inaccessible, until I reboot the machine. By
inaccessible, I mean that the partition appears to be empty when trying to
read the root directory.

This problem has happened twice so far, once while compiling a program,
and another time while uucico was receiving data from a remote site.

So far this has happened on both 128 MB and 640 MB ext2 partitions.

Any ideas?
