But even -after- running the checker (which typically does some stuff,
with Mint being so unstable with AES 4.1), then a re-boot, I still
sometimes get this message. I can't run the ext2 fsck in mint.cnf,
because it crashes on my Afterburner 040 if run during init.

If I don't reboot after running fsck, I sometimes cannot start up any
new shells (I set up the ext2 fs as my home directory). Subsequent
runnings of fsck on ext2 sometimes find additional errors (why didn't
it find them the first time?).

But I do think it shows promise. I do like the fact that I can actually
see files when opening a ext2 fs window from the desktop. The speed seemed
good. And the utilities are great, too.

It just needs to be at least as stable as Minix before I trust it with
"real" data, at least on the Afterburner. Minix fsck typically finds no
errors on the file system, even after a hard failure, while ext2 fsck nearly
always does.

Keep up the great work, Frank.
