That's the result of the SIGSYS signal sent by the kernel as a response
to Super() or Supexec() made by su (or, strictly speaking, by the Mintlib
linked with it) at securelevel 2. It ought to be normal and exspected
behaviour.
It only makes me wonder WHICH bash gets killed: the one you're invoked the
su from (so you get logged out?) or perhaps some other instance of bash.
In other words: after the bash "crashes right after", do you get logged
out?
And, is the bash you're using a securelevel 2 compatible shell? (i.e. has
it lib pl > 46 linked?)
