Yes. I have something like this in mint.cnf:

ren u:\a u:\Floppy
ren u:\i u:\Zip
ren u:\p u:\CD-ROM

Now I can use stuff like ImageCopy's catalogs across computers without
having to mess around with HD-Driver to match the partition-letters.
