Various versions of CoNnect, lately I've been using the CoNnect '97 beta
version. HSMODEM seems to be version 1996-03-30.

I've used both CoNnect and pppd on just about every serial port on my TT
(I can't be exactly sure, I think maybe I've used pppd only on modem2 and
serial2, CoNnect I have used on every serial port).

All of them (modem1, modem2, serial1, serial2, midi, LAN).

No, this is the first time I've heard of such a thing.

I don't recall changing any of the HSMODEM settings from the defaults.

I wish I knew what it is that I do to make them work. Unfortunately as far
as I can see I have done nothing special. I just copied HSMODEM and
drivers and then MiNT to my auto folder, and that's all there is to it.
