Tried, but failed.

Even configure didn't run, which worried me slightly. On closer
inspection, that turns out to be down to it not knowing the architecture
"m68k-atari-mint" - examining the scripts reveals it seems to want
"m68k-atari-MiNT" (which is, of course, different).

Then, it wouldn't compile. I fail to recall the precise errors, but will
probably submit patches to the appropriate places (wherever they turn
out to be!). :)
