I can't get it to work on my falcon at all, although I don't have minicom,
etc.

I'm just using pppd with 28800/56000 modems. Here, the 'OH' light never
comes on, and looking at the pppd log-file, pppd never gets an answer from
the modem.

I'm using ttyS3, and I've tried 'crtscts', '-crtscts', nothing, etc to no
avail.

I've got an AB040, the same as Frank.

Frank: what config options are you using for pppd?
