It's not just VDI and AES: you need a BIOS and XBIOS, and possibly a
rudimentary GEMDOS to boot MiNT (note that currently, BIOS used VDI for
output, but you could also use a BIOS with its own textmode routines to get
things running and start the VDI after MiNT).
