Not only on paper. There *are* existing machines running Unix on a 68040 and
68060, so you can easily compare.

What new designed machine that you wish to run MiNT on uses non-PCI,
proprietary hardware?

Yup. And a 80386-40 with a decent ISA VGA card will easily beat those. Even
my Pentium1-200 is faster than my TT on raw CPU speed than my TT using
TOS2WIN, so emulation is definitely feasible.
