Re: [MiNT] Bad magic number?

Hi Jo-Even, on 17 Feb 00 you said:

 UU> Scary...

Don't be so scared... I have 2 backups... and you remembered me that I've got a
3rd one on a Minix-FS ZIP-disk.

I didn't want to use them because the back-ups (I remembered) were on TOS-FS
disks with short names... and 'cp' is so slow!

Any way, I did it. 1/2 hour to copy and to realize that there isn't enough room
on those tiny ZIP-disks... :-)))))) That's my fault, I should stop collecting
archives in my /tmp directory. :-)

Now, I'm going to bed and I'll see tomorrow what Linux thinks about "our"
EXT2-FS... when I'll have done another copy in the reverse direction. <g>

---------------------
Last news:

When I "shutdown-ed" my Hades, I got 2 strange message from ext2.xfs:

pid 64 (SHUTDOWN) Ext2-FS [M]: open FILEPRT detect in: del_cookie #2054

And the same at #2158.

What does it means? Is it something I should worry about even if 'fsck.ext2'
reported no error?
---------------------
Very last news:

What device should I pass to 'e2label'? Every time a device is mentioned to
talk about disks/partitions in our MiNT world, it means the well-known letter
identification. But it doesn't work with 'e2label'... and we don't have such
devices as '/dev/sd[a-g]?' or '/dev/sh[ab]?' (well-known under Linux). Does
'e2label' actually work or is it a (big) fake?

Any way, apparently, setting a label with Jinnee works. So? 45 more Kb free on
my hard disk and on my backup cartridge?
---------------------

See you later,
