(Assuming you mean emulating MiNT in Linux.)
Here are some I can think of.

pro:
	* vast library of device drivers
	* fast (at least on modern hardware)
	* a huge amount of developers are hacking it
	* you use Linux applications too
con:
	* emulating MiNT in Linux has a speed penalty
	* some people would feel like using a toy ;)
	* requires more memory
