RE: [MiNT] bug/virus???
Joliet is an extension of ISO-9660 which basically removed the limits on
directory nesting, filename length, and it also uses UTF-16 as character set
for directory entries. SPIN supports Joliet.
Rockridge is an extension of ISO-9660 as well. It adds all you need for
POSIX 1003.1 compliance (long filenames, permissions, file modes, hard and
symlinks, but not UTF-16). SPIN support Rockridge as well (at least a
subset).
If you want to backup a POSIX filesystem with all information you will
probably need Rockridge, or alternatively you can just write TAR files to
your CD...

Wasn't Joliet basicaly an ISO-9660 version of VFAT, while
Rockridge preserves permissions and ownership a la UNIX?
