But it works using Pine 4.10 compiled by Juhani.

Also, I have removed a few files from /home, just to see it this
would fix it:

Inode count:              128016
Block count:              511754
Reserved block count:     25587
Free blocks:              38370
Free inodes:              119066

Pine 4.10-6 RPM still fails in writing its temporary files, when
reading newsgroup messages.
