Frank wasn't very clear on this, what he was trying to say
(I hope ;-) was that you need TOSFS if you want to use
MetaDOS with DOS-drivers. BOS-drivers (hardware-drivers) are hooked in on the XBios-level and does not depend on TOSFS being available.

That depends on what you were trying to say. It's true if you was trying to say that you can't ditch MetaDOS because you want to use audio with the current Spin!-beta. However, you can still use MetaDOS (and it's clones) for the hardware-drivers, so there's no problem in using MetaDOS + Spin! on any kernel without TOSFS.
