[MiNT] RSC and multilinguality issues?
Hi All!
We had a talk with Frank about the $subj. I'm sending only Frank mails
here as it is clearly readable IMHO.
What do you think about this topic?

Just add it to the doc/ directory in CVS. I also like to handle the
english rsc file automatically (qed loads depending on the language
preference another rsc file). What do you think?

No, I just meant that you simply add a small if() condition that depending
on the language preference load another RSC file (loading qed_e.rsc
instead qed.rsc for example).
All other solutions require much more work at the moment.

And at the moment it's user friendly to download another rsc seperatly and
to replace the standard shipped rsc?
Then I ask me why to have qed as rpm package if the user have to overwrite
the rpm installation ...
At least if no such rsc file is found every better programmer would
fallback to the standard name, or not?

I dislike this overcopying. This is bad style in my oppionion.

The applications support it. Mainly all strings are outsourced.
The right
strings are loaded on startup.

One suggestion is to number the different languages:
*.RS0 - english
*.RS1 - german
*.RS2 - france
*.RS2 - ...
