MiNT (and its successor FreeMiNT) is a hybrid OS for Atari TOS
compatibles, which offers UNIX compatible system calls and
concepts, while retaining the ability to run native TOS software.
It's already been around for several years (and has been the basis
for Atari's MultiTOS), IIRC it actually dates back to the
beginning of the 90s.
