I have compiled it too and both version (my and your) doesn't work correctly
with vt52 terminal. When you push history key (arrow up or down) new ncftp 
quits. With vt100 everything goes ok.

Btw what is difference between vt100 and tw100 from TosWin2? Some programs
(for example elinks) does not like teminal set to tw100.
