Leo Weppelman has had problems when transferring data via a PCI ethernet
card to an IDE disk on a Milan under NetBSD (I think it resulted in data
corruption on the disk).  The problems were not there when using an ISA
ethernet card.  Can you get an ISA network card to try with?
