Hello!
As you say, we don't reduce memory usage, so in memory it is not worse than current situation. However, we reduce disk space, and avoid recompilation when a library change: Do you recompile all the binaries RPM when the mintlib is updated ? So from my point of view, this would be a progress over current situation.
This is for sure true and a big advantage. I don't wanted to stop something, just wanted to clarify that memory consumption don't get better. Performance will be increase too I think (as disc loading can be reduced if the lib is already in memory). I'm for sure happy if you or anyone other start to work on it and I will support it as best as I can.
