Because you know, if freeMiNT kernel is released in 2 or 3 years,
like kernel 1.16.0beta was released after 1.15.12, it is a mess !
As XaAES is located inside the CVS, it's an impossible situation !
The latest release of XaAES km is really bugged. You can have a look
at http://eureka.atari.org/xa-my-aes.zip ... The development of
the kernel is slow, but XaAES needs a more regular publication ...
Every open project has it's own snapshot system ... What about
freeMiNT ? Otherwise, the inclusion of XaAES inside the CVS is
a *real death* for this project !
