Re: [MiNT] mysql || PHP port to Sparemint?

Hello,

I have been able, with a lot of pain, to get a 90% working version of PHP
built for MiNT. It is almost impossible to package in an RPM, at least
for me to figure out, because it would need to be packed with Apache,
since it is built statically. The only thing I knew of that did not work
with it was PEAR, but that was because it did dynamic loading, if I
remember correctly. Its been 6 months or more since I messed with it,
before Version 5.0.

I did have Secure HTTP working with Apache also.

MySQL..... I have a build of it on my Falcon right now. It has issues
with sockets. I have had no time to debug it, and really it is still the
virgin code, I have made almost no patches. It was a pain to build as I
think I did something wrong with passing library parameters, and keep
meaning to go back, but I need to get a handle on MiNT and Sockets before
I really mess with it more. So, it is possible to get MySQL built on the
Falcon, but I can not say how it will run, if it ever does...

I moved on to working on CTorrent, which also suffers socket issues, to
sort of figure out how to address the socket problems better, much easier
to learn with a program that compiles in minutes rather than hours.
CTorrent is a console based BitTorrent client. Again, zero time has been
my problem.....

Of course, now my time to work on this stuff is non existant, as I am
getting married soon, looking for a house, and raising funds for the
purchase, plus whatever other curveballs life throws that gets in the
way, last weeks was a bad one!
