Re: [MiNT] AtariForge
I think Freemint should stay as it is. It has too much data to convert
to a new system. I think losing any of the current bug list or mailing
list archives would be a loss.
Besides.. AtariForge.org will be changed hopefully this week. The GForge
install is too damn buggy and I don't have all the time or skills to fix
it. I really wanted to use GForge but I think it's just too much for our
needs anyways. I've looked at other branches of the SourceForge code,
namely Savane with the same feelings. If anyone has suggestions on a
similar setup, please let me know.
If nothing else is available, I'm going to a basic web hosting setup,
meaning web, ftp, mail and cvs access all on a dedicated server running
Debian. The CVS will be similar to how the Atari-Users.Net server is
setup with the FreeMint/AtariForge CVS currently. I think this is the
best way to set the new server up. The main AtariForge site might be
using Drupal for the news content.
Just to be clear, the SpareMint site is hosted on the Atari-Users.net
server, AtariForge is on a seperate dedicated server.
I've been chatting with a few people and the idea of a one stop bug
tracker for all Atari software was suggested. For that I'm looking at
using Bugzilla instead of Mantis (used on the FreeMint and HighWire bug
trackers) I'd like some feedback on that for the idea and the software
to run it.
Please, feel free to let me know if anyone has suggestions/issues.
