[MiNT] Success, finally
Hello, all
A memory board losing contact does an amazing amount of damage to
a TT030, including making the hard drive electronics not work any
more. And, due to another problem I have yet to solve, maybe
having to do with insufficient termination current to SCSI
terminators, did not have a working backup.
Simply put, usepeerdns did not produce a working nameserver. It
was not until I realized that there are three resolv.conf files
in /etc, and made them all read
domain isp.com
nameserver 209.244.0.3
nameserver 209.244.0.4
and finally I could telnet to a name, not just to a dotted quad
address. Before making all three files read the same, and making
domainname easymint, I got redirected to the owner of those two
nameservers, according to nslookup, which worked all along.
Now to make another backup.
