I've managed to compile gcc 4.2.2 for the native host on my Linux PC.

Now, those binaries work fine on my Falcon too.

Wow, can you descibe how did you do it? using gcc 4.2.2 for linux, than making cross compiler and than native? i've written some article ( http://dhs.nu/special-gcc336.php) and i'm interested in this topic -- was it similar? or there was a need for some additional steps?
