[MiNT] gcc for 060 + FPU bug solution?
Hi all,
by browsing gcc-patches mailing list I've found some interesting stuff:
1. Maybe I've found bugfix for our FPU bug (http://gcc.gnu.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=34947) which Vincent discovered while ago (and why he disabled -fomit-framepointer as well) -- http://gcc.gnu.org/ml/gcc-patches/2007-01/msg00790.html -- I'm not familiar with GCC internals but the description seems to me very similar. Vincent, you have that test case made, you should probably try it :) Btw this guy also made a lot of cleanup patches for m68k (in Jan 2007) that never appeared in the main tree, dunno why..
2. Maybe I know how to build that 060 gcc with various multilibs -- we must use, as we originally wanted, BOOT_CFLAGS. However, there's bug (http://gcc.gnu.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=32622) -- this BOOT_CFLAGS are never passed to 'make' ! From some internet reading I know BOOT_CFLAGS are exactly what we need -- they are passed to stage2/stage3 and !don't affect libraries compilation! As you see, this bug is already fixed and there's a patch (two patches actually but the second one is for x86, some kind of "double bug") but I haven't time to try it.
OK, that's for my research. Maybe I didn't find anything special but I wanted to let you know at least..
