Yep, I filed a bug #158 for these issues on sparemint bugtracker. cflib is needed to build toswin2, and I just wanted one from fresh cvs.
Sorry for my ignorance, I missed 2 points :- I didn't know cflib, I was thinking it was the "ColdFusion Lib", of course it is not. I was thinking it was an upstream bug. - I had totally missed the Sparemint bugtracker, thanks to this story I discovered it and I registered.
I don't know if it's related to gcc 4.3 or not, but toswin2 (and cflib) from cvs, built with it simply crashes when going to the configuration option window.
Someone reported that the colors were bad in the options window of the latest TosWin binary. It looks like something is wrong in that options window, maybe gcc 4.3 made the bug more visible. Currently, we don't known any bug related to the C compiler itself, but we have to be careful.
Or maybe the problems comes from that writable strings option. Maybe you could try gdb to see if you can find any clue ? -- Vincent Rivière
