Has anyone ever looked at GNU dld ? Vincent ?

It's pretty old now, but it does look as though it had some level of
Atari support. It's a dynamic loader similar to libdl on linux, and
requires specific package support. It seems a few applications do still
have this capability inbuilt. Perl being one.

It probably needs Vincent's careful eye over it as it needs some
intimate knowledge about the file format etc.
