Yes - and a file named freetype.h is also mentioned ...

I can put a # before ft2_srcdir in CONFIGVARS, but then I get

text.s.gnu.o(.text+0x806): undefined reference to `bt'
text_sq.s.gnu.o(.text+0x1d2): undefined reference to `external_vst_effects'
