I'm not asking them to either. It's all free, do with it what you will.
Do or don't use it that's fine.

I'll always be updating it as it's a project I'm interested in.

I'm curious. How does Gentoo work on MiNT? Are you required to build the packages when installing them, or will there be a binary distribution? Does the package manager handle automatic/suggested updates?
